Hello everyone! How was your Thanksgiving weekend? I missed you guys - things have been soooooo busy, I haven't had time to write or read blogs. I promise I'm going to catch up this week, though - I need to see what you all have been up to!
The last 4 days have been a roller coaster of emotions, holiday fun and hard work! Thanksgiving was a pretty good day - we spent it with my family, and it was peaceful and yummy. My little one came down with a bad cold that night, and was sick most of the weekend, so we didn't do much else until yesterday.
Yesterday was my first gift show for Katie's Charms (my jewelry business). It was a tiring day, and the turnout was pretty bad, but I learned a lot and I have some good ideas to make things better for my next gift show in December. Here's a shot of my little table at the show:
The hubby and I have been working through some issues the past few days. We both have a tendency not to talk about the things that bother us, until we both become snappy and distant. So, we're working that out and talking more, which is great - but it be very taxing on the ole' emotions.
Needless to say - in all this hullabaloo, my eating has not been a priority. I definitely enjoyed myself on Thanksgiving, but didn't take many leftovers home, so I wasn't tempted there. I didn't exercise this weekend, though - and the scale's stuck at 218.4.
But of course today is a new day, and so far, so good. I'm still planning on switching to home workouts at the end of the year, so I'm going to try to do my workout at home today, just to start getting used to it. I asked Santa for a kettlebell this year - so that should help me get some strength training in at home!
That's about it - I'm back, I'm happy to be eating well again, and looking forward to what the end of the year brings! Tomorrow I'll be posting a review on Jillian Michael's book, Master Your Metabolism - come back and see what I think!

Every sunrise is a new start, Jenn. I believe you will get the weight under 200 in a lot less time than you previously thought. Butt, the main question you could answer is "Do you want to or are you afraid of looking better?"
Do not fear this, it's going to be great and you will be thrilled!
Sincerely, Secretia
Glad Thanksgiving was good but sorry to hear about the other troubles. Sick kiddo & not getting along with the hubs all at the same is a heavy weight. Best wishes that you are able to open those lines of communication & work everything out.
Don't let the scale stress ya, Jenn.
Keep doing your thing & it will all work out. :)
Lynn
Congrats on the fresh start! It sounds like you've had a full week--glad you're still traveling down that Highway to Thin! Deb
Sounds like hubby issues are going around (I had my own yesterday).
I am the same weight and was so proud and today I have been a LUNATIC. Jeez, here is to the next meal going better.
I gave you an award at my blog!
Every day is a new day...
I say that to myself every day :)
Glad you enjoyed thanksgiving and hope your little one is feeling better...
Hi, woman, what a professional looking table. I really like the banner. Good job. Those events sure are A LOT of work, aren't they? Whew!!
