My Millionaire Experience (And Weigh In Day)

Hi everyone! So...how did your week go? Did you eat well, drink your water and sweat it out?

I did - and I gained 1/2 pound this week. WTH?? Oh well - there's always next week. Sometimes the scale just doesn't want to give it up - hopefully this means a BIG loss next week!

Thanks to everyone who watched my Millionaire episode yesterday! I got such wonderful emails, comments and tweets. Yesterday reminded just how lucky I really am. Not only did I get a chance to play the game, but to see the outpouring of well-wishes and love from my family and friends (both online and INL) - I was humbled and touched.

For those of you that couldn't watch yesterday, I walked away from the game with a $15,000 check! I got a couple of questions that tripped me up. The expert, Joel Stein, was absolutely NO help, and my husband was my lifeline and saved the day on the $12,500 question! The $25,000 question was something I just did not know, and even though I had a guess (which turned out to be right), I didn't want to risk what I had already won.

What did I learn from being on Millionaire?

• Your brains leak out of your head when you're in a situation like that! Between the lights and music, the audience, the time clock and the fact that you're on TV, I was a bundle of nerves! I will never judge a contestant on another show if they freak on a simple question ever again.
  

• I think I hide my nerves well! I looked a little nervous in the beginning, but overall I think I looked pretty cool, if I do say so myself.

• Meredith Vieira is the NICEST, sweetest person! Behind the scenes she was just as friendly and lovely as she is on camera. I even got a note from her after the show!

• Do not tell a game show host you plan on trying for another baby unless you want the entire WORLD to know - because that's exactly what Meredith said to me at one point in the game! I got several emails asking me when they could expect baby #3, lol!

• $15K is not enough to move out of my house, but it's enough to go on a nice vacation for the first time since my oldest was conceived. And, it will come in handy when we have to buy a mini-van for that new baby!
  

I'm going to try to figure out how to get the show online - if I do, I'll let you all know.

This weekend is going to be spent with both sides of our families - and a true example of the circle of life. Tomorrow we have a funeral for my husband's great Uncle - who turned 100 just before he passed away. Then on Sunday, we have a christening for my cousin's twins - a celebration of their dedication to God!
