WHO'S PANICKING?? I'M NOT PANICKING!!!

Okay, people. It's here. The gauntlet. The arch enemy of dieters healthy eaters. The main event...

TURKEY DAY. (dun dun dunnnnn)

T-minus 3 days and counting. Are you ready? Have you made your plans?? No? Well, better get on it, because in just a few days you will be staring down the hollowed-out neck of some poor bird, which will be surrounded by mounds of things cooked in butter.

(Apologies to my Canadian and International readers. We will now try to return to normal.)

This week is a bit - CrAzY - for me. Besides TURKEY DAY (dun dun dunnnnn), I have my first gift show coming up on Sunday for my jewelry business. I'm trying to get my inventory ready, brochures printed and pricing done, all while shopping and cooking for Thursday's dinner.

So please forgive me if I'm a bit short with you this week. It's not you, it's me.

In the meantime, don't forget about my Jillian Michaels book giveaway! Entries must be in by tomorrow night, and the winner will be announced Wednesday.

Have a good one!

There's no reason to panic!
You are much smarter than that.
I know it.
Just have a happy and sensible Thanksgiving, without making food the most important thing.

You are going to be fine!

Ugh. I'll have to plan ahead - one serving of this, none of that it's too heart clogging, etc. If not, I can see it now - me eating like there's no tomorrow. Everyone please follow my new weight loss blog - www.mywickedwickedways.org. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

You are already planning ahead, that's important. If you are hosting, you are in control of what is served right? If you aren't hosting, maybe you could offer to bring a few healthy options.

Good luck with your jewelry business. That sounds like a really fun career.

I'm not panicking. If there's just a little of each thing on your plate and you enjoy one slice of something you really like for desert, it can't possibly undo all your hard work. Isn't that how the normal people eat?

Yes, I've already planned my menu and think I will do fine. I'm cooking healthy sides and plenty of veggies to go with my bird. Hopefully I can stay on track and lose during Thanksgiving! That would be great!

Good luck to you and your show on Sunday!!! :-)

I'm actually looking forward to the challenge of navagating through the rapids of Thanksgiving. Imagine the empowering feeling you'll have if you can get through this week unscathed. Nothing can stop you then!

I'm sooo excited for Thanksgiving! This will be the first year that I've been so committed to weight loss so I'm looking forward to how I handle the day. In the past years, I just let myself have a free for all day (or week or month), but this year I've preplanned my meal for that evening. It is quite heavy at 54 pts for the meal, but I have 57 pts between my daily and flex points. I'm also going to work out every chance I get to accumulate some buffer activity points. As long as I don't let the leftovers get to me, I should be fine and dandy.

Try to relax and have fun at your jewelry show!

I'm fully planning to enjoy the food that I'm cooking on Thanksgiving (while paying attention to what I eat and not eating myself into sickness) and then my plan is to get right back on plan the next day. I worry about the leftovers though. Those could be my downfall. :-)

You'll do great. Even if you have a high day here and there, what matters is that you've made a lifestyle change. You're doing great!
