I have a prayer request. My best friend just gave birth to a baby boy. Unfortunately, he was born 2 months premature. He was 1lb. 14oz. when he was born this past Monday. As of last night, my friend hadn't seen him yet, because she was still recovering from her own set of health issues.
So far baby Thomas seems to be doing okay. He's on a lot of machines, but he's breathing regular air, not pure oxygen, which is a good sign. Please pray for this little baby, that he grows strong and free from any long term health effects of being born so early. If you're not the praying type, then please just send him and his family comforting thoughts.

Please God, help Baby Thomas to grow up big and strong, and help his parents to be healthy for him too.

We definitely have your best friend and baby in our thoughts and prayers. My baby was born on time and at a healthy weight, but because I had a fever she had to be taken away from me right after birth and set up in the ICU. I would never wish those feelings of terror and helplessness on anyone.

I know every situation is different, but here's an encouraging word re: baby. My friend's grandson was born 4 years ago weighing 14.5 ounces. He is a healthy, intelligent, active little fellow now. A little small, but otherwise absolutely normal! I have & will pray for Thomas! Deb

I have a colleague who's wife gave birth to a baby girl that same size in July...she is now a a chunky monkey!! Here is to Thomas.

Thank you for a very informative blog. I followed a 7 day plan I found on the web and had fantastic results. I now use it as and when just to maintain my goal weight. I find everyone is different. What works for one person may not work for someone else.
